From June to August, I will engage in curating 4-7 person writers workshops !

Each session is $200 per month, see the "Workshops" tab for more on what you get out of each session! Full deposit is required at time of sign up.

June Workshop Schedule:

Beginner: 5-6:30 pm on Tuesdays, June 2-30
Advanced: 7-8:30 pm on Tuesdays, June 2-30

My Private Tutoring Style

As a private tutor, my goal is to bring you, as a learner to your highest self! Together, we will formulate goals, think about what is most needed, and how to achieve those goals. From young kids to adult writers, I am an attentive, dynamic teacher who is able to go with your flow and figure out what you need to help you grasp the skills you are seeking.

About me

My name is Amirah Elayan. I graduated from William Paterson University with an MFA in Creative Writing. I am a writing and rhetoric professor with almost a decade of tutoring experience! I currently teach at Montclair University, Felician University, and Bergen Community College. I worked in Publishing for 4 years as a Subsidiary Rights assistant at several different agencies, with a short stint in book marketing!
