Learn Chess: Tips, Puzzles & Play is an account-free chess learning and practice app. Games, puzzles, lessons, settings, and progress are stored locally on the user's device.
## Information collected and shared
The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). AdMob may collect and share:
- Approximate location derived from the device IP address
- App interactions such as launches, taps, and ad or video views
- Diagnostics such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage
- Device or other IDs, including the Android advertising ID and App Set ID
This data may be used for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. AdMob encrypts data in transit. AdMob's handling is described in Google's [AdMob data disclosure](https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure).
The app does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, audio, files, messages, payment information, or precise device location. The app does not provide account creation or login and does not transmit chess progress, settings, or statistics to Vantalum.
## Advertising choices
The app may show banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) displays a consent form before ads are requested. Users can manage ad privacy choices from **Settings → Ad privacy options** and through Android advertising settings.
## Local storage and deletion
Game progress, puzzle progress, lesson progress, statistics, and settings remain on the device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes this local data. Vantalum does not maintain an account or server record for this information. AdMob data is handled according to Google's policies.
## Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and Vantalum does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
