Pie Insurance was founded in 2017 with one purpose: to make commercial insurance easier and more affordable for small business owners.
Co-founders John Swigart and Dax Craig came together to modernize the time-consuming process a small business owner often faced when purchasing commercial insurance, especially workers’ compensation coverage.
Prior to Pie, John served on the Esurance executive team for 13 years, where he initially led all the financial functions and then became the company’s first chief marketing officer. And for the past decade, Dax built Valen Analytics into the leading advanced data and analytics company in the property casualty insurance industry.
Together, they wanted to transform the small business insurance experience at scale. And that’s exactly what they’re doing.
Guild Education partners with leading employers to offer Education as a Benefit, transforming existing tuition reimbursement policies from cost centers into strategic education benefits programs that support employees educational and economic mobility in a modern workforce. Our two-sided benefits platform for employees and company leaders helps support employees heading back to school, those already in school, and the HR and L&D leaders who manage tuition reimbursement, upskilling and custom education programs.
