Cape Town is known for it's landmaks, Table Mountain and Cape Point. Overlooking the Mother City, the magnificent Table Mountain takes our breaths away with it's incredible cliffs and the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The Atlantic seaboard is considered to be one of the most scenic routes in South Africa and the beaches, set against the mountains are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Table mountain, together with Signal Hill forms a semicircle around the city facing Table Bay. on either side of the mountain is Devil's Peak and Lion's Head. Visitors to Table Mountain can either hike to the top or take a cable car.
Robbin Island is located in Table Bay. The island is best known as the prison of former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, who was incarcerated here for 18 of his 27 years served in prison before the fall of Apartheid. Ferries leave daily to the island and tours are guided by former prisoners.
