Schedule below!!
June 1st- June 13th:
Monday - Thursday 5-8pm
No ticket Sales on Fridays
Saturday 10:00-12pm
Tickets will be available during dress rehearsal week and at the door for each recital.
Location: The Historic Palace Theatre. 2 East Ave, Lockport NY.
Dates: Monday June 15th - Thursday June 18th
Times: Please see the Dress Rehearsal Schedule to see when your scheduled block begins. Dancers are only required to attend the rehearsal blocks that their dances are in. If you have questions about the schedule please let us know. Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before your block begins so we can start right on time. For most blocks, we will try to run the finale (our last dance featuring every dancer at the studio!) at the beginning of the block so dancers can leave after they run their last dance.
What to Wear:
Dancers must arrive in their first costume, including their required tights, shoes, hair pieces and any accessories. If you do not know where a hair piece goes, bring it with you and we can show you when you arrive. Please do not allow your children to wear anything that did not come with the costume, this includes jewelry, socks, scrunchies, etc.
All Ballet classes - except TOT PRE-BALLET classes - must have Pink Ballet tights to go with their costume. All other classes wear tan tights.
Please make sure your dancer has the correct color shoes for each routine. All Tot and Mini recreational tap classes wear TAN tap shoes, Junior Rec, Teen Rec and competition tap classes wear black shoes, all jazz shoes should be tan and all ballet shoes are pink. Boys wear black for all of their shoes.
Dancers are to arrive in full hair and makeup for dress rehearsal. Everyone’s hair is a LOW BUN WITH A PART. The part may be on either side or center. (Comp dancers, yours is center!) This is also the hair for the recital!
Please make sure your dancer wears a cover up over their costume whenever they are not on stage to protect their costume. Their recital t-shirt or an adult sized button up shirt works great for this! Please do not let your dancer eat in their costumes!! Do not put costumes in the washer or dryer. If something gets on your costume, please let us know immediately.
When you arrive:
After checking in at the main lobby, please find a seat in the auditorium. When you check in with Miss Megan she will give you your Recital T-shirts!
Classes will be called up when it is their turn to perform. Please make sure you know your dancer’s recital song! At this time they may remove their cover up and head to the stage.
Each dance will get to block their spacing/formations and run the dance a few times. After they are done performing, dancers and parents will meet in the lobby and will be escorted for a tour of their dressing room. This way you will know right where to go when you arrive for recital day!
Other things to note:
Dancers 13 and younger must have a parent/guardian with them for the entirety of their dress rehearsal block. Dancers cannot be dropped off.
Dress rehearsal is MANDATORY. Dancers who do not attend their rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the recital. NO EXCEPTIONS. With the number of routines we have, we unfortunately have to start our rehearsals early and they end late. This is just the nature of rehearsal week; we want to make sure each routine has enough time on the stage to feel confident for the recital! We appreciate the necessary sacrifices that need to be made (such as leaving work/school early) to ensure your dancer is on time and present for the entirety of the rehearsal.
The concession stand at The Palace will be open for Dress Rehearsals. We ask that dancers do not bring outside food beyond water and light snacks with them into the newly renovated theatre.
Photography and videography is permitted during dress rehearsal, but please do not use flash as it is distracting to the dancers. Please do not share videos of dress rehearsal routines on social media accounts.
Dress rehearsal is MANDATORY in order to participate in recital! Dancers must be on time, we cannot wait for late comers to begin rehearsal.
Location: The Historic Palace Theatre. 2 East Ave, Lockport NY.
Dates: Friday June 19th and Saturday June 20th
Please review recital show lists below so you know which shows your child's routine(s) appear in! Between several different events going on during our recital weekend, there are a lot of conflicting schedules to work with so these routine appearances are final and will not be changing. Remember these are NOT show orders!! Those will be released the week of recital!
Showtimes: Friday June 19th 6:00pm, Saturday June 20th 11:30am and 6:00pm
Drop off/Call times:
Palace doors open 1 hour prior to showtime!
Dancers must be checked in backstage 30 minutes before showtime. (At dress rehearsal, you will be escorted to the drop off area so you know where to go!)
They should be dressed in their first costume with their cover up on. Hair and makeup should be done the same as dress rehearsal. Please ensure your dancer has all of their costumes/shoes with them when they are dropped off.
We do not recommend bringing additional (especially valuable) items with the dancers.
The dancers will remain backstage for the duration of the show. (The only exception to this rule is Mommy & Me dancers.) They get to watch the show from the balcony when they are not performing. Please do not bring your dancer into the audience - we cannot go to the audience to search for them when it is their turn to dance! Our backstage/dressing room volunteers will be assisting with costume changes so you may watch the show and enjoy! PLEASE have your dancer use the bathroom BEFORE you drop them off upstairs! We ask that men do not enter the changing areas and dressing rooms. Dads, if you need to assist your daughter please let our staff know so we can make sure that happens.
Dancers 13 and younger must have a parent/guardian present for the entirety of each recital. Dancers cannot be dropped off.
Opening dancers must be onstage stretching and ready to dance 20 minutes before showtime. We recommend arriving 45 minutes early if you are in the opening number.
Tickets/Spectators:
Tickets are $15 each. Every spectator needs a ticket. Ticket sales will run June 1st - June 13th at the studio. (Full schedule on our website). You will choose your seats at the time of purchase. We accept CASH AND CHECK ONLY for ticket sales.
Pick Up:
After the finale number, dancers may be picked up directly from the stage. Please make sure to communicate with a member of our staff when you pick up your dancer.
Please quickly return to the dressing room area to grab your dancer’s belongings. Costumes may stay at the palace in between recitals.
Other Important Notes:
Label the INSIDE of every piece of your dancer’s costume and shoes!! DO NOT label the bottom of dance shoes! Please do not wash your child's costume in a washing machine under any circumstances. If you have a stain or need it cleaned please see our staff so we can assist you.
Remove the tags from the inside of costumes.
We encourage dancers with more than one costume to invest in a nude leotard if that will make changing easier and more comfortable for them. Dancers may not wear any undergarments that are visible once the costume is on.
All payments/accounts must be up-to-date in order to purchase tickets and perform in the recital. The last tuition payment is due June 15th. All accounts must be paid in full in order to purchase recital tickets.
Photography and videography is STRICTLY PROHIBITED during our performances. We will provide a fully edited and professional video of your child’s dance. Those who are caught recording dances will be asked to leave the show - refunds for tickets will not be given.
Are you ready to perform???
No nail polish/fake nails, jewelry, temporary tattoos, or adding extra items to the costumes. Only rhinestone/diamond stud earrings are permitted.
Hair must be in a low and clean bun with a part. All bangs and flyaways must be gelled or hair sprayed down. Just trust us…use the hair net. If you are unsure how to do a dance bun, please ask a staff member at dress rehearsal and we can show you how to to do it! Dancers should have their hair done and stage makeup on when they get to the show. There will not be room to get ready in the dressing areas.
Preferred Makeup: Brown or neutral tones on the eyes, a medium toned blush and a medium toned pink or red lipstick. Please do not wear bright colored eyeshadow, such as blue, purple, green, etc. Glitter makeup is not allowed.
Please check your dancer’s tights! They must be the ones provided to you with their costume and they must be free of any runs. If you need to purchase additional tights you may do so at the recital or in the office when you drop your dancer off for class. Please do not purchase tights from somewhere else, as they need to be the same style and color as the ones we provided you with.
ALL UNDERGARMENTS MUST BE SKIN TONED WITH CLEAR STRAPS. Please do not wear colored bras or underwear with your costume. You will be asked to remove them!!
**EVERY DANCER MUST HAVE THEIR RECITAL T-SHIRT WITH THEM FOR RECITAL! They will be worn for the finale!! ****

Flower pre-order sales will be accepted until May 27th
Teddy Bear Pre-Orders will be accepted until June 7th.

We are looking for RECITAL VOLUNTEERS for our show. Volunteers will be sitting with our young dancers in the balcony during the show. We offer a free ticket to those volunteering. If you are interested please email us or see Miss Megan for more information.
There will be no changes to these show lists as we are already working with scheduling conflicts that have been presented to us. Please remember THIS IS NOT THE SHOW ORDER!!!! This is just a list of which dances are in which shows! Every dance should perform TWICE with the exception of competition specialty dances (which perform once) and production numbers (which perform in all three shows). Thank you!
