The Band Council president is responsible for leading band council meetings and events, managing the executive committee, attending AFM meetings, giving band council announcements during practices, maintaining communication between the execs and the band directors, and communicating between band council and other school organizations.

The vice president gets to know and helps out with all of the different roles and positions on the exec team. As such, they need to be familiar with every aspect of band council. The VP fills in for the president when the president is not available.

The secretary's durites include recording meeting minutes, taking attendance during meetings, taking notes and drafting meeting summaries, and making presentations/slideshows for meetings.

The treasurer manages all of the finances for band council. They deal with reimbursments, contacts AFM regarding budgests and reimbusements, contacts school administration regarding budgets and accounts, and more.

Section: Drum Major
The director of communications helps maintain communication between Band Council and the rest of the band. They communicate with students and committee leads, send out Remind texts, update the website, and create flyers and content for the Band Council Instagram.
Exec team applications happen near the end of the school year. The positions are decided via popular vote by everyone in band.
Anyone who has been in band council for at least one year is eligible to apply for secretary, treasurer, and director of communications. Executive team members and committee leads are eligible to apply for president.
