Flip Classroom - This flip classroom presentation was created by combining previous technology items and ones learned in technology in education course: Power Point, Screencast-o-Matic, Audacity, and Wevideo. The video focuses on the basics of understanding and applying the Pythagorean Theorem. This is the Common Core standard I chose to highlight for my video presentation. The purpose of the video presentation is for the students to view at home at their own pace. The video being on Youtube allows the student to pause and revisit when needed. This relates to the standard five for Illinois professional teaching standards by displaying that I know how to"implement effective differentiated instruction through the use of a wide variety of materials, technologies, and resources." In order to make this video I had to effectively use various tools for at home viewing for differentiated instruction for students. This was important to learn as I develop as a teacher because instruction can not always be done in the classroom. The end goal is be a secondary mathematics teacher and keeping the classroom interesting is something mathematics desperately needs.
