JCPenney was the first location I have ever worked at. During my junior year of high school I started working at JCPenney Portraits. Then eventually after a couple of years I came back and decided to work in JCPenney Beauty when I realized a flexible schedule would be great while studying.
When I started in JCPortraits, I was hired as a Sales Associate. I was tasked with finalizing edits of all photos. As well as selling packages to the customer.
I was then eventually able to be behind the camera after taking trained photography lessons. This job trained me with photography skills, that I still love using to this day with my Nikon D3400 camera.
During my last year of University, I decided to come back and join JCPenney Beauty. This job helped enhance my knowledge of cosmetic products, fragrances, skincare, and haircare.
I had the opportunity to work with an amazing supportive team. All together we maintained Beauty's cleanliness, and helped customers find the products they came looking for, as well as products they never knew they would like.
One of the most enjoyable parts of working in Beauty were setting up for Events that we held every Saturday. Events such as "National Lipstick Day" or other events where we get to showcase brands we know and love such as NYX, Smashbox, or Murad.
My manager knew I was a marketing major, so she let me contribute to our Instagram page. Our focus was to highlight new products.
