General Information
Degrees in the UK tend to be very specialised, having students focus on their chosen subject from the first day. While degree transfers are common, there tends to be less flexibility and opportunity for students to "find themselves". For example in the U.S. students are often able to choose several courses that interest them before declaring their major at the end of the second year. Do not let that scare you away from applying but if you are very decided on what exactly you want to study, an application to a UK university will be easier.
The standard of teaching and its reputation around the world is very high at almost all UK universities. While you might desire a place at one of the UKs top institutions for your bachelor, remember that you can always complete the more important master at such an institution.
The application process to a UK university is best completed through UCAS.
DIS advises you to complete your application through UCAS. An alternative is SIUK.
