The various states of identification in which an individual may align with. These terms are not mutually exclusive and envelope identities that are diverse and varied.
HUMAN
An individual that does not identify as nonhuman, demihuman, or as another species. Not all alterhumans identify as human, and not all humans who may fit under the label identify with alterhumanity.
NONHUMAN
An individual that does not identify as human. This may be partially or wholly.
DEMIHUMAN
An individual who identifies as partially human. The degree to which these individuals identify with humanity may differ from being to being.
ADANTHROPE
An individual who does not align themself with humans and/or humanity. Not all nonhumans are adanthropes; many nonhumans still identify with human traits or concepts such as race, religion, culture, etc.
EXHUMAN
An individual who was once human, but now identifies as another species or entity. Not all nonhumans are exhumans, as many nonhumans agree that they were never human.
OFFHUMAN
An individual that feels wrong or does not feel as though they fit in as a human or in human society, whether or not they have tried to in the past.
NULLTHROPE
An individual who rejects species identification entirely.
NOMORPH
An individual who is confirmed nonhuman, but does not have a distinct identity.
OTHERHUMAN
An individual who identifies as another species within the human genus.
