Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Since I don't know where to put this, I 'll try it here.
My Mom's Pumpking Pie was outstanding. The spice combination is different than any other pumpkin pie, and it is really good.
Pumpkin Pie, from S. Louise Presgraves
Pie shell
1 C. Pumpkin
1 Egg
1 C Milk
1 C Sugar (or less!)
1 t ground cinnamon
½ t ground cloves
¼ t ground ginger
Salt
Mix pumpkin, sugar & spices together. Beat egg till light and fluffy; add milk and pour into pumpkin mixture. Stir until well blended. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake in hot oven, 425 for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350 for 45 minutes.
Mom's Note: A large can of pumpkin is a little less than 3 C; makes 2 large pies.
