The Henry County team is exploring feedback as a way to support student success and build agency. Students use Henry County’s Learner Profile system to upload work, self assess, and request feedback from peers and adults. As part of this process, Henry County has partnered with the Center for Collaborative Education to train teaches on performance assessment. Quality performance assessment supports feedback by giving students tasks that can elicit complex thinking, and by making success criteria transparent. The process of learning performance assessment also helps build a culture of feedback, by giving teachers the opportunity to practice giving and receiving feedback to one another.
