Used R to analyze fictional student exam data to understand the effectiveness of their new test preparation course and other trends affecting student data
Synopsis
Royce Kimmons hosts a number of data generating tools for data science students. I used the Exam Scores data generator to create a business case where an unnamed testing company contracted me to evaluate their latest test preperation course. "This data set includes scores from three exams and a variety of personal, social, and economic factors that have interaction effects upon them." (roycekimmons.com, 2012).
In this data set, I chose to focus on questions posed by the unnamed testing company.
1. How effective is the test preparation course?
2. Which major factors contribute to test outcomes?
3. What would be the best way to improve student scores on each test?
