About Me

I'm Al, a Stage Manager and freelance Technician/Facilitator currently based in Manchester. Outside of work I am an ambassador for Beswick, Openshaw and Clayton in partnership with the Royal Exchanges 'Local Exchange' Project.

Management/Theatre Technician

Most my Management experience is in SM/ASM roles within small/mid-scale theatre working on plays/musicals.

Alongside working as management I have also held roles as Lighting Design/Programmer and LX Opp. I am trained on ETC Software, and am comfortable using Avolites desks.

Other roles I have worked are: Props Manager, Set Construction, Mic Tech, AV Operator/Design.

Despite having a theatre background I am also interested in using my skills to work in other sectors such as Live Events.

Facilitation

I have only recently started working in facilitation having work experience as a support in the Off The Stage Project before beginning to plan and promote my own Project.

Other

My work as an Ambassador has given me great opportunities such as planning and running a two week long community festival and giving a speech in front of Prince Edward (Duke of Edenborough), along with other public address opportunities.
