Almondsbury Charity continues a tradition of local care and support that has been part of the community for centuries. Our mission today is to support the wellbeing and opportunities of individuals and community organisations within our area of benefit.
We aim to relieve hardship, support those in poor health, advance education, and strengthen community life through thoughtful grants and practical support. Whether helping an individual or supporting a local organisation, our focus is always on making a meaningful difference close to home.
Grants are available to individuals, families and organisations who meet our eligibility criteria. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, or which application form to complete, please contact us for guidance before applying, we are always happy to help.
Almondsbury Charity works within the parish of Almondsbury and its historic boundaries, remaining true to the area it was originally established to serve. This long-standing connection helps ensure that our support responds to the real and changing needs of the community.
The charity is run by a dedicated group of local trustees whose knowledge of the area and its people brings insight, balance and care to every decision, drawing on the expertise of local organisations and representatives.
Trustees meet every two months throughout the year to review applications and ensure that funds are distributed fairly and responsibly. Above all, we seek to honour the charity’s long history by using its resources wisely and for the greatest benefit of the community.
