Donna Herrera

Middle School Section Chair

Donna Herrera, is a passionate and energetic 6th-grade RLA teacher at Sgt. Harrell Middle School.  She is a Rio Grande Valley native who focuses on inclusivity, equity, multilingualism, and a love for reading and writing. Miss H loves to bring laughter and fun into the classroom by cultivating a loving and literacy-rich classroom.  She happily takes on her school's mascot costume to bring joy and energy to her community. 

Miss H has worked in ACE as a cooking instructor, Abydos trained, curriculum writer, and partnered up with K-12 Summit PD2Teach. Miss H is currently pursuing her masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University,  and TOTS (Abydos Training of Trainers); she hopes to pave a road for success for her students and future students to come.
