Janeth Cornejo

Middle School Section Chair

Janeth Cornejo, a certified bilingual/ESL teacher with an M.Ed in counseling, is an ELAR District Literacy Coach for middle school and a presenter for the Teaching and Learning Department in Aldine ISD.  Presentations include working with EBs, supporting new arrival students, and supporting students in all the joys of reading and writing. She has presented at several conferences across Texas including TCTELA!  Janeth has 18 years of experience working with students and teachers in grades 5th to 8th and enjoys sharing her passion for books.  AS an advocate for equity for all students she believes that every student deserves an opportunity to see themselves in the books that they read.
