High School Science Teacher for the Pulaski Community School District for 4 years (2013-2017). Taught five sections of Biology and one section of AP Environmental Science in both the Flex-Mod and regular eight period day school schedule.

Roles:

• Create an interactive learning environment by using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations that maximize student engagement
• Implement a consistent, firm classroom management that promotes a positive, safe learning environment.
• Integrate technology into the curriculum to develop student processing and research skills
• Plan and conduct hands-on activities and field trips to provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate
• Advisor of the Environmental Club; a student based club focused on raising awareness on the current state of the environment and educating students on how they can get involved.
• Team Leader of the Lower Fox River Watershed Monitoring Program; a program where teachers guide students in the monitoring of seven environmentally impaired streams in the Fox River watershed for water quality and ecological health.
