The Allentown Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) was established under Article 12 (§ 12-46 – § 12-50) of the City Code to advise City Council, the Administration, and other local agencies on matters related to environmental protection and sustainability.
Guided by its purpose to promote the conservation of natural resources, encourage sustainable design, and support community environmental programs, the EAC researches issues, reviews development plans, and makes recommendations to advance the City’s environmental goals.
The seven-member volunteer Council works collaboratively with City officials and the public to help ensure that Allentown continues to grow as a healthy, resilient, and environmentally responsible community.
