How Fostering Works

We usually put out calls for fosters on our Facebook Page. We work with many kill shelters and also help the community with neglected or dumped dogs, strays, and surrenders. Please fill out a foster applicaiton if you want to join the team!

Fosters provide the safe and loving home to their foster dog while they look for their forever homes. The rescue takes care of getting all of our dogs the vaccines, diagnostic tests, and treatments that they need. We give our fosters notice when their pups need to visit the clinic or have appointments so that we can arrange for transport if needed. But fosters should plan to take their pups to 1-2 clinic visits.  Once cleared for adoption, dogs can attend adoption events which gives them exposure and increases their likelihood of adoption. Events are usually on Saturdays and the occasional Sunday. 

You are welcome to post about your foster pup on social media and spread the word! If you taf the rescue we will also share widely. We will post as mant photos as you send us, so please spam us with your cute puppy pics! Up to date and frequent photos help portray an accurate profile of your foster dog and gives us material to share and spread the word.

Temp Fostering

We also need temp fosters on occasion. Fosters have lives and families and obligations so we need to be able to mobilize if we need to move a pup for a weekend, or if a foster home falls through. Holidays are especially important so if you don't normally have the time to foster but find yourself home for a holiday weekend, spring/winter break, Thanksgiving, Christmas-New Year, please do be in touch and let us know so we can set you up with some puppy snuggles!!
