On Tuesday 20 August, seventeen intrepid pilgrims, set out on a whistlestop tour of five Surrey and Sussex historic churches, a Buddhist monastery and finally ending up a Goring by Sea to see a replica painting of the Sistine Chapel ceiling at the Roman Catholic church of the English Martyrs.
