I am S. M. Ali Zeinolabedin, and I was born in Isfahan, a historical city in the center of Iran. I hold a B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Azad University and Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), respectively, both of which I earned in 2006 and 2010.
From 2005 to 2006, I worked as a Digital Design Researcher and Engineer at the Design Lab of Isfahan University, where I also supervised students during their internships. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2012, I worked as a Digital Design Engineer at the Hardware Design Lab of Isfahan University of Technology.
In 2012, I began my pursuit of a Ph.D. degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, which I successfully completed in 2017. Following that, I worked as a Senior Post-doctoral Researcher and Technical Group Leader at the Chair of Highly-Parallel VLSI-Systems and Neuro-Microelectronics Circuits (HPSN) at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany from April 2017 to March 2023.
Since April 2023, I have started a part-time position as a postdoctoral researcher and digital IC designer at the University of Utah. Furthermore, in June 2023, I embarked on a new endeavor as an ASIC designer at Blackrock Neurotech Company.
My research field is focused on the following areas:
Low Power Digital Integrated Circuits
Dedicated Neural Signal Processing SoCs/Hardware Accelerators
Neural Acquisition Chip
Digital Signal and Image Processor for Biomedical Applications
Machine Learning
