I am a mechanical engineer. I love to learn about systems and devices. I love it when I see how cooperation between all components in a system leads to a final output that would be impossible to achieve if each component worked by itself. I enjoy it when I understand the mechanism and order behind physical phenomena. As a mechanical engineer, I am curious to discover physical rules governing complex natural/artificial systems and then by inspiring from these rules, fabricate novel devices to help human beings to improve the quality of life.
My research interests are mainly nanotechnology, micro/nanofabrication techniques, 2D/3D printing, and biomedical and tissue engineering. Nanomaterials and nanodevices represent exceptional characteristics that have been never seen before. Printing techniques (known also as additive manufacturing) have made us capable of fabrication of objects with geometries that are not achievable using traditional subtractive manufacturing techniques. My aim is to use my knowledge and experience in nanotechnology and micro/nano-manufacturing techniques to build devices and systems with applications in biomedical and tissue engineering.
