Although you may be able to find many alternative tools, the Calendar app includes all the essential features that you need to organize and stay on top of all your events. It's also compatible with most third-party calendar services. And unlike other online solutions, the app works offline, so you don't have to sign in every time you want to check your schedule, which makes it an excellent solution for anyone who needs to work from home or manage personal events.

In addition, on the top left side, you'll find a search box that you can use to find events in your calendars, and the arrow buttons are handy to navigate days, weeks, months, or years depending on the current view.

Once you complete these steps, the event will appear in your calendar, as well as in those of the people to which you sent the invitation. In addition, they'll also receive an email notification, which they can RSVP or decline.

Once you complete the steps, the event or reminder will be added to your calendar. If you want to check upcoming events or reminders for a specific day, you can do this by selecting the day from the schedule inside the time and date flyout, or by using the Calendar app.

The app also allows you to add a bunch of popular calendars to your work or personal calendar to make sure appointments will not conflict with certain holidays, sports games, or TV shows, which you can also use as reminders.

The Calendar app also shows the weather forecast in the calendars to make it easier to plan events. If you feel more comfortable using a different scale unit for temperature, the app allows you to change the weather settings to use Celsius or Fahrenheit.

I attempted to create a macro that opens MS Outlook and opens two windows for 2 separate views, mail and calendar, respectively. The macro is a bit clunky and will open multiple calendar views at times instead of one for mail and one for calendar. I've pasted the macro below. I'd be grateful if someone could identify what I'm doing wrong that causes this behavior.

Windows 10 has a built-in Calendar app, but you don't have to use it. You can view and create calendar events right from the Windows taskbar. You can even link accounts like Google Calendar or iCloud Calendar and see your online calendars with a single click on your taskbar.

Windows 10 has a built-in Calendar app you can use, but you can use your calendar without the app. Just click the clock on the right side of your taskbar, and you'll see the calendar popup. If you don't see any events, click "Show Agenda" at the bottom. If you don't want to see events, click "Hide Agenda" for a simple clock panel.

This taskbar panel is integrated with Windows 10's built-in Calendar app. Any events you add to the calendar app will appear in it, and any events you add from the taskbar will appear in the Calendar app. You can, however, use essential calendar functions right from the taskbar without ever opening the app.

To quickly add a calendar event, open the calendar popup and select the date you want to add the event on. For example, if you want to add an event on the 10th of the next month, click that date on the calendar. You can use the arrows to the right of the month's name to move between different months.

If you have multiple calendars, you can click the box to the right of the name of the calendar entry and select a calendar for the event. Events on different calendars will be highlighted with different colors on the panel here.

That's all pretty useful. You can create and view calendar events in a few clicks without opening another application. But, to link an online calendar, add other calendars, or edit calendars, you'll have to open the Calendar app.

Clicking an event you've created or click "More Details" while creating an event will open the app. However, you can also open Windows 10's Start menu, search for "Calendar," and open the Calendar app shortcut. That's the one with a blue background featuring a white calendar icon.

Click "Add Account" in the list of accounts, and you'll see a list of accounts You can add. Windows 10's Calendar supports Google, Apple iCloud, Microsoft Outlook.com, Microsoft Exchange, and Yahoo! calendars.

Once you've added an account, its calendars will appear in the left pane, and you can choose which you want to see. Calendars with a checkmark to their left will have their events visible both in the main Calendar app and on the taskbar.

After linking other calendar accounts, you can add events from elsewhere---via the Google Calendar website, for example, or in the Calendar app on your iPhone. They'll sync and appear on your taskbar's calendar panel.

When you create a calendar event from the taskbar, you can choose which calendar it will be placed in. Click the colored circle to the right of the event name field and select any configured calendar.

However, you can't store your calendar details just locally on your computer---not with Windows 10's built-in calendar features. You have to sync them to an online service. This does ensure they're always backed up so you won't lose them, at least.

Your calendar must be upgraded and the improvements must be enabled in order for you to be able to try out these new capabilities. To check whether your calendar has been upgraded, and if not, how to manually upgrade it, click here. (NOTE: We have not finished upgrading all calendars automatically.)

Calendar is a personal calendar application made by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows. It offers synchronization of calendars using Microsoft Exchange Server, Outlook.com, Apple's iCloud calendar service, and Google Calendar. It supports the popular iCalendar 2.0 format.

This version supports sharing, subscribing, and publishing of calendars on WebDAV-enabled web servers and network shares. It has always supported .ics files, and the subscription feature enables syncing with Google Calendar.[3] Its interface matches Windows Vista Mail's, but the two apps are not connected in this operating system. The default calendar can be renamed.

On the calendar taskbar applet, there is a date grid on the left side and a skeuomorphistic analogue clock and a digital clock underneath on the right side. Additional clocks displaying different time zones can be added to the view. On the date grid (left side), dates far in the past or future can be looked up by zooming out by clicking on the date range indicator above the calendar grid, until each tile is a decade (e.g. 2010-2019, 2020-2029).[4]

A new version of Calendar with a text-heavy was added to Windows 8 as one of many apps written to run full-screen or snapped as part of Microsoft's Metro design language philosophy. It is one of three apps on Windows that originate from Microsoft Outlook, the other two being Mail and People apps. Structurally, the three apps are one and are installed and uninstalled as such. But each has its own user interface. Calendar in Windows 8 originally supported Outlook.com, Exchange, Google Calendar, and Facebook calendars. Because of API changes, Facebook and Google calendars can no longer be directly synced on Windows 8.[5] Like many Microsoft apps introduced for Windows 8, many of the features are hidden in the charms or a menu at the bottom of the screen that is triggered by right clicking. Different calendars can be labeled with different colors. When a user with a Microsoft account adds a calendar account on one computer with Windows 8 Calendar, the account will be automatically added to all other Windows 8 computers the user is logged into. .ics files are not supported in this version.

Calendar has preset server configurations for Outlook.com, Exchange, Google Calendar, and iCloud Calendar.[6][7][8] Users can set it to use the system theme or choose a custom accent color, background image, and light/dark preference. Windows 10 Calendar has multi-window support for viewing and editing events. Different calendars can be labeled with different colors, and events can be rearranged by dragging and dropping. The default interface is Month View, but users can also use Day, Week, and Year views and print these views. The Windows 10 app also uses a flyout settings panel and a mini Ribbon interface in the viewing pane. The day of the year and calendar events show on the live tile. Like the Vista version, the important controls are readily visible and use icons to match the system's. Accounts can be grouped and relabeled, but folders cannot be edited from within the app. .ics support was added to this version in time for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.[9]

2. Search for the name of the person whose calendar you would like to view in Global Address List. Once you have found the person you are looking for, double-click the individual to select and click OK.

3. The calendar of the individual should now be added under the Shared Calendars list as well as being displayed alongside your own calendar. They are distinguished with different coloured tabs.

Fortunately, there does seem to be a workaround. Users can either use the Outlook app to access their integrated calendar, or else access their email and the calendar using Outlook for the Web. Microsoft also recommends logging out and resetting the Calendar app, but using Outlook for the Web client instead seems to be a lot less complicated and intrusive.

There are several options for sharing your personal calendar with other users - sharing, publishing, giving permissions. NOTE: if you are trying to share a resource, see Microsoft 365 Resource Management

Sharing A Microsoft 365 Folder (Mail, SubCalendar, Contacts) With Another Office 365 User this option allows you to share a particular folder or sub-calendar or Contact you created but not share everything

However, you can give someone permission (e.g., access rights) to your calendar so that they can view your calendar appointment details and/or manage your calendar. If your "Calendar Permissions" option is grayed out, see You Cannot Open A Shared Calendar in Outlook 2016 for Mac for information on fixing the issue. ff782bc1db
