Kamusta po sa inyou tanan I am Muhammad Alfaridho, a fourth-year student in the eighth semester of the Bachelor of Education, Major in English, at Universitas Riau, Indonesia. As a prospective English teacher, I am committed to developing both my pedagogical competence and professional character through academic and international experiences.
Throughout my academic journey, I have actively participated in several exchange and community-based programs, including PMM4 at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), Bali, and a Humanity Project at INTI International University. These experiences broadened my cultural awareness and strengthened my adaptability in diverse learning environments.
As an educator, I want to create interactive, energetic, and student-centered classrooms. I believe that learning English should not only focus on language accuracy, but also on building confidence and meaningful communication. Through the SEA Teacher Program, I further developed my teaching skills and classroom management abilities.
TThe SEA Teacher (Southeast Asian Teacher) Program is a student exchange program for education students in Southeast Asia. The program gives pre-service teachers the opportunity to gain teaching experience in another country. Through this program, participants conduct classroom observation, prepare lesson plans, and carry out teaching practice in a host school. They also take part in cultural activities to better understand the local community and education system.
I participated in the SEA Teacher Program from 11 January 2026 to 7 February 2026 in the Philippines. During this period, I was assigned to Capiz State University – Sigma Satellite College as the host university and Vicente Andaya Senior National High School as the host school.
This program provided me with the opportunity to experience a different curriculum, classroom environment, and teaching approach. It also allowed me to improve my teaching skills, communication skills, and confidence as a future educator
