Experience in Healthcare

I have worked in various health care roles to help prepare me to work in leadership roles in the future. These experiences taught me how to work with the consumer and find solutions for common problems that they had, how to communicate professionally with consumers and staff, as well as being able to be self motivated to complete tasks to fulfill needs of the business. Through these expierences I was also able to gain other opportunities such as internships and volunteer opporuntities. 

During my time working as a Facility Care Associate; a weekend position, I was able to gain knowledge working during the week with various departments such as Admissions/Marketing, Infection Prevention, and Administration to learn the functions and importance of these different department. Through these expierences I was also able to see two annual state surveys from an Administrators prospective and how they navigate not only themselves but their team through the surveys. 

I have also volunteered at nursing homes in my area in Life Enrichment and Food Services to assist the staff with giving residents one on one time and provide different activities to assist with redirection. In Food Services I have been able to assist with ensuring residents had food and drinks as well as ensuring residents were able to make it to the dining room. These experiences taught me the importance of residents feeling as if they are truly at home and what a difference we can make by tending to needs such as socialization and excellent food options.
