Description: Development of magnetic-field and current sensors based on FBG and magnetostrictive materials such as Terfenol-D using magnetic flux density concentration techniques to optimize sensitivity and linearity according to the application. In this project, we also study the use of nanostructured magnetostrictive composites (nanocomposites), which allows for better malleability, ductility, linearity, and a massive reduction in the required amount of the pure magnetostrictive alloy.
