I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), which means I am accountable to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) – a regulatory body. I interact with a variety of other health care professions within the greater healthcare milieu related to my expertise on mental health and substance use, to ensure comprehensive client/patient care. In the course of my duties, I frequently interact with doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other allied health professionals – this is particularly true for the parts of my role which involve case management, referrals, system navigation, or linkages. I work within community mental health, using the intensive case management model and elements of the critical time intervention model.
In my current role, I am a Community Mental Health Counsellor and support individuals with mental health and substance use concerns. I am passionate about harm reduction, eliminating stigma, and accessible/affordable housing for all. I value each individuals' rights to a full and meaningful life, and strive to foster hope, safety, and dignity through competent care and a collaborative alliance.
