Flyover Indies & Amber Waves of Games
I am currently an organizer for Flyover Indies, and a co-founder and organizer for Amber Waves of Games. These two groups are game development collectives focused on connecting indie game developers in the Midwest United States, a region typically lacking in game development opportunity. For these groups, I have hosted several Global Game Jam events (before being promoted to a Regional Organizer for the Global Game Jam organization), several Ludum Dare events, and the "Game Development World Cup" by Game Jam+, which is a developer organization centered in Brazil that reaches out to developers worldwide for their competition.

No Lives Left - (2015-2017)
Worked on for approximately three years, during which I managed a team of over 30 designers, engineers, and artists, No Lives Left is a meta imagining of what would happen if your games kept on going without you. In No Lives Left, the main character returns to their favorite childhood adventure game, only to learn that the game world is on the verge of falling apart, and the newfound mortality of its denizens has given a sense of identity to the once-static characters within, who have been living on their own for 20 years. Role reversals of common tropes are common. It is up to the player to fix the world, or decide to keep it the way it is.
Despite never being finished, I learned much about leadership and the development process in this role. It fell on me to organize meetings, plan tasks, and ensure deadlines were met. I held the weekly scrum meetings, and did my best to ensure all teams were getting what they needed from each other.
