A children's book inspired by one of my favorite teachers ever, Mr. Markovic's Earth Science Class seeks to engage, entertain, and educate readers about the world around them.  Tonally, it's a blend of Calvin and Hobbes, ALF, and The Owl House, with a ruthless yet loving deconstruction of Boy Meets World.

Dear Maddison, please don’t be sad.

We’ll help you remember the good times you had

With your wonderful sister, now departed.

She was the best kind of bossy, and good-hearted.

Some days you’re going to feel especially down

Where you can’t find your smile, only your frown.

But when facing those moments, we’ll be by your side

Because we all know how it feels to break down and cry

After losing a loved one—your big sister, no less.

Oh, dear Maddison, it’s such a heart-breaking mess.

If there’s anything to say that could help make this better,

We would write book after book, letter after letter.

We’d fill libraries all over to make sure everyone knew

How much Ellie meant to your family and you.

It may not feel it right now, but there’s some solace, of course

For Ellie is now one with The Force.

Children’s book for my 3-year-old niece, Maddison.  Her older sister passed away suddenly in May 2025.

The goal of this book is to help Maddison through the grieving process as she grows up and starts trying to understand the loss.

A heart-warming children’s book about two pups bonding with neighborhood birds, squirrels, rabbits, and a grumpy casino proprietor groundhog named Jacky Fats.
