- Make sure it is well-organised
- Make sure you can deliver your presentation under the 2 minutes allowed (time it!)
- Make sure you sound confident when giving your presentation (record it and listen to it!)
- If you are unsure about how to pronounce a word, use a text to speech app
- The examiner may use points made in your presentation as well as information given on your Individual research project form to initiate the discussion.
- The emphasis throughout the discussion will be on eliciting views, opinions, ideas, and reactions from you. You will be invited to explain, develop further, justify, illustrate, and defend. So practise these aspects!
- The discussion will focus on key concepts such as importance, impact, value, contribution, significance, as well as your appreciation of the topic area – its appeal and interest, and the insights the study has brought to you. This will naturally generate opportunities for you to analyse, evaluate and draw conclusions on those aspects of the topic area that have been researched.
