Setting Up Effective Group Work

The changes I would make to group work is breaking down the work for students ahead of time. I say that because most of the time when I see group work done in a classroom the students don't understand the work that they are doing and they ask alot of questions to get a genuine understanding of what they are supposed to be doing. If I, as a future teacher, break down the work ahead of time and explain what needs to be done so it will be easier. I also feel like I could incorporate making vision boards in class during ELA time in the beginning of the year to have them set their own academic goals and what they want to accomplish for the school year.
