I would love an opportunity to use my existing skills and practice new ones helping to create amazing games!
With my skills as a writer and instructional designer, I am particularly looking at narrative design, quest design, onboarding experiences, and level design.
LINKS to games ARE BROKEN due to Unity Changes. Work in Progress...
Pfoursync Productions: Games for all Thumbs
I am currently teaching myself Unity tools as part of a class I am taking. I challenged myself by signing up for a Level Design class that requires Unity.
Here are the final versions of the three class projects I did.
Bunny Ball Labyrinth with Carrots. - My first steps with Unity from a base project by the instructor (that did not have a labyrinth in mind).
My version of KART. - I learned the basics of ProBuilder, prefabs, and the particle system, and strategically using other people's work to improve my own with assets. Nothing we ever do is done on an island! I am very proud of the fog!
ARPG Game. Given some basic assets and the camera controls, designed an ARPG level. In Skills practiced include terrain modeling, lighting, textures, canvas, z-fighting, audio, working with constraints.
Other projects:
I am convinced that many students prefer learning coding skills by writing a fun game than yet another shopping list app.
I developed the following games for Google's Android courses that I helped develop;
MiniPaint teaches students in a playful way to draw on a canvas from tracked touch events. I developed the idea, the lesson, and co-wrote and approved the code.
Escape the Vortex
Flappy Jelly Mayhem
