I developed an internal tool that Googlers have been using every year since for over a decade. It's not an exaggeration to say that every Google employee has used it not once, but probably many times. The original version I wrote in PHP, the second version Ibuilt on an SQL database, and for the third version I used an App Engine backend. I created the UI, the backend, data acquisition, data migration plans and execution, analytics tracking, and fixed hundreds of bug over the years. Here is an article that mentions the tool.
I designed, prototyped, and feasibility tested a lottery system for internal course signup that dramatically reduced wait times for popular courses. I then "sold" it to the course provider who created an implementation that is still in use.
For IntelliCorp Inc., I wrote installation scripts, and contributed to software testing, user interface design, system administration for the writing team, scheduling of writing projects, bug management, and HTML delivery of documentation.
For Sun Microsystems, I designed and implemented components for the object-oriented NeWS toolkit in PostScript. Contributed to OpenLook user interface design reviews. Ported multilingual version of XView and Deskset to SVR4. I also maintained and enhanced internationalized XView packages, including selection service. Developed test suite for internationalized XView. Ported complete XView library from SunOS to UNIX SVR4. Rewrote XView Make files and reduced to half of their original size. Designed and implemented test harness for SunView and XView. Supervised summer student writing SunView test suite. I also worked on software internationalization.
