It is important to implement high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) because it helps prepare students for life beyond the classroom with skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today’s workforce. High-quality CTE offers hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for a wide range of careers post high school graduation. These programs help implement critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience which can sometimes give students a competitive advantage in fields that require specialized training (electrician, mechanic, welding, ect.). It can help motivate students by providing a clear connection between education and career opportunities. By implementing high-quality CTE programs, teachers play a vital role in shaping the future workforce and ensuring students are well-prepared for life after high school graduation. 

I will implement the ACTE framework and follow the twelve elements that are listed. But first in order to effectively implement CTE, the teacher must identify students' needs through ongoing assessments, observations, and open communication. By recognizing students different learning styles, backgrounds, and skill levels, the teacher can adapt instruction methods to help ensure all students are understanding and retaining the learning material to the best of their abilities. For example, this could involve offering different grouping options, where students work in teams based on their strengths or weaknesses. 

When implementing CTE, a teacher needs to provide clear evidence of using a broad range of learning strategies to support student learning by offering different instructional methods such as direct teaching (lecturing), group projects (promotes collaboration among peers), and hands-on (real-world experience and situations) learning. The teacher should pose open-ended questions that encourage students to think about the content, and discussion amongst themselves the key concepts. Open-ended questions also allow the teacher to manage the learning environment in a way that encourages student engagement, by using clear expectations, structured routines, and flexible grouping to maintain a productive and positive atmosphere. 

In the implementation of CTE, the teacher should welcome constructive feedback from colleagues, students, and administrators to help continuously improve in their teaching practices. By creating a culture of open communication, the teacher encourages feedback on lesson plans, instructional strategies, student outcomes, and should view it as an opportunity for professional growth rather than criticism, reflecting on suggestions, and responding positively to them. 

In implementing CTE, the teacher should always demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with students, creating a respectful and supportive learning environment which is further outlined in the code of conduct. The teacher should also seek out leadership opportunities, such as taking on roles within the school community, to help further contribute to the development of the CTE program and further their own professional development. Professional development can be accomplished through service in non-profit organizations, conferences like Farm Bureau YF&R (Young Farmer and Rancher), ect..  Communication is also key, the teacher should keep an open line of communication open with parents, colleagues, administration, and students. Communication keeps them informed about student progress, course expectations, and any concerns. This transparent approach builds strong partnerships, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed in both the classroom and their future careers.
