Work-Based Learning Lesson Plan

This artifact is a greenhouse work day lesson where students prepared plants and the greenhouse space for an upcoming community plant sale. Students were responsible for completing greenhouse tasks, following workplace expectations, maintaining the workspace, and demonstrating professionalism while working in a real agricultural production environment. The lesson focused on experiential learning and connected classroom plant science concepts to authentic greenhouse responsibilities and industry practices. This artifact aligns with ACTE Element 11: Work-Based Learning because students participated in a hands-on learning experience that mirrored real workplace expectations within the agriculture industry. Students practiced technical, employability, and communication skills while working collaboratively in a greenhouse setting connected to a community plant sale. It also reflects my understanding of the importance of creating authentic learning experiences that prepare students for future agricultural careers and workplace environments.
