I am from Campbell, Nebraska, where I grew up on my family’s crop and cow-calf operation. I have been involved in 4-H from a young age and participated in FFA throughout high school. I graduated from Blue Hill Community Schools in May of 2022. Through these experiences, I developed an appreciation for the agriculture industry and the opportunities these programs provide.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education with a minor in Grassland Systems. I will be student teaching this fall at Kenesaw Public Schools. I am looking forward to gaining more experience in the classroom and continuing to grow as an educator. As I move forward in this journey, I am excited to build relationships with students, create a positive and engaging learning environment, and help students find their own interests and opportunities within agriculture. I hope to share my passion for the industry while making a meaningful impact in the lives of my future students.
The purpose of this portfolio is to show my growth as an agriculture educator using the ACTE Quality CTE Program of Study Framework. It highlights my ability to plan and teach lessons that are standards-aligned while giving students hands-on, real-world experiences in agriculture. This portfolio also shows how I am continuing to learn and improve as I work toward building a strong ag program.
