LITERATURE COURSES

I did all the literature courses with Angela and they were incredibly valuable. They deepened my understanding of texts which I wasn’t very keen on until I joined the Detective Fiction  or the Poetry courses. The sessions were engaging and encouraged active participation, helping us share ideas and come up with incredibly creative activities. I highly recommend it, whether or not you are preparing for oposiciones; they will enhance your experience as a teacher, learner and reader. Angela Pintor.

I found both courses interesting and enjoyable, so it didn't feel like a chore to connect on a Saturday morning. Both followed a similar pattern of presenting material the way we might do in class, in order for students to come up with their own ideas and conclusions, and by the end of the course we came away with material and inspiration for at least one didactic unit to add to our portfolio. I'd definitely recommend it for all opositores, especially those new to the process as it gives a clear guideline for when it comes to developing other units.

All the content in the course was very interesting, well organised and useful. the organisation of the course was excellent, it guided us through the different stages that we should follow as teachers doing

this as a Didactic Unit. all the material is ready to be used in a class, making the necessary adjustments according to the level of the students. I think it was the best part for me, to have all that material.

The course organisation was very practical. It provides  a lot of information and useful materials to create coherent didactic units, integrating things in a natural way. I particularly liked how each session feeds into the final project and how students can choose, step by step, so that they really feel involved and that they are creating something. I find this really difficult to achieve without having the sense that I’m losing control of the class, so I found this very helpful. I  really liked it!

I did all these literature courses   with Angela. Each one was 3 x 2 hour sessions. That was long enough to analyse content in depth but not too long. I always came out of each course with something I could use and with ideas for my DUs. Sometimes ideas would come from colleagues.

The most useful were probably the ones where I came out with a DU more or less done such as Detective Fiction, Sci- Fi and Nursery Rhymes & Traditional Tales. However, the most enjoyable for me might have been Poetry in Action which I have used across several different Didactic Units on themes such as nature, war and love.

I was definitely impressed by the amount of material prepared. This really helps us to select what would work for us.

I  would certainly recommend these courses.
