FROM MOTHERESE TO TEACHER TALK

This short course examines how babies develop language and how this process is encouraged with the use of 'Motherese' , also known as 'Parentese' or 'Infant Directed Speech'. We then consider how this is applicable to second language learning, and explore how to put 'Teacher Talk' into practice, with learners of all ages, to promote language acquisition. 

This course is useful on its own, but it is also very useful as a complement to the pronunciation courses, which also include techniques for speaking to learners and to incorporate into your Learning Situations.
