COURSES FOR SPANISH-SPEAKING TEACHERS OF EFL
ABOUT ME
Angela Duthie
For over twenty five years, I have been preparing people for the Oposiciones and taught Phonetics, Practical Pronunciation and Present Well courses (my 8 years of speech and drama training prior to university have been valuable here), as well as Postgraduate Courses in Methodology.
I am a native English speaker, but I used to live in Andalucia (Cádiz) for many years and then in Madrid, where I prepared people with face-to-face classes for the Oposiciones for EOI and Secundaria.
I also offer courses in How to use Literature with EFL Learners. They are very popular - first because they are enjoyable and also because they offer know-how and material for creating teaching units, which can be used for the oposiciones and with your learners. (The different short courses cover different genres. See Menu.)
There are many teachers in EOIs and institutos throughout Spain who have prepared with me over the years.
I am also a writer (fiction), translator and editor, have given English writing and oral presentation courses for international academics, mainly at the Open University. Among my clients are academics at the UNED in Madrid as well as other Spanish universities, and two international research groups at the Open University, for whom I have done occasional consultancy work, and article and book editing.
I now live in Edinburgh and offer all my courses online.
