A 3 hour long course that teaches you what To Do, and more importantly what NOT to do if you ever need to help someone labor or be present during a birth in an emergency situation.
In this course you will learn:
Expectations and limitations
Signs to look for in a laboring person
Ways to lower the risk during labor and delivery
How to help, and what to avoid
How to insure the parent and child can find each other if separated
The afterbirth
How to support the parent post partum

Birth Out of Bounds was preceeded by the Basic Disaster Birth Support class created in the early 2000's by the Midwive's Alliance of West Virginia.
Birth Out of Bounds is a gender inclusive course, with up to date research and statistics, as well as a more realistic concepts of how individuals and communities respond to airborn pandemics.
