In May 2014 a fundraising dinner was held by the Royal Navy at HMS Collingwood hosted by Admiral Lord West. The funds raised went towards the Albert McKenzie VC memorial. Guests included Paul Keefe Chairman of the Memorial Fund, Simon Hughes Member of Parliament and Nick McKenzie, great great nephew of Albert McKenzie
