The Edmonton Sabers Marching Band, an award-winning marching band for children aged 7 to 14, is always looking for enthusiastic members to join the band! Increase the child self-esteem by having them learn music or dance skills, get physically active, and perform and go on tour as part of a team. In the last few years their tours have taken the kids to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Disneyland in California, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, and most recently around Southern Alberta, British Columbia, Washington State and Idaho.
The Spirit of Alberta is a school marching band directed by Barrett with Peter Simon, B.Ed as assistant director and accompanied by our Colour Guard directed by Rachel Rasmussen.
Northern Empire Marching Band is comprised of youth who are either exploring their musical and visual talents or furthering their education in woodwinds and brass, drumline / frontline ensemble, and colourguard. Members rehearse weekly and receive high quality instruction from a diverse staff led by experienced educators as they prepare for performances throughout Alberta.
The Calgary Round-Up Band is one of Canada’s oldest and finest junior high school marching band and performing arts ensembles. Founded in 1956 by the Calgary Police Service, the Calgary Round-Up Band has provided Calgary-area youth with training in both music and dance accompanied by a strong sense of self-discipline for over fifty years.
Sound of the Rockies Marching Band is the only High School marching show band in Calgary and all of western Canada. The band was founded in 1986, has over 100 musicians, and has performed internationally including in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, USA, and Canada.
The Red Deer Royals are a Concert and Marching band based in the City of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. They are Central Alberta's only Marching band for youth aged between 11 and 21. The Royals have been performing for the past 50 years and are currently under the direction of Michael Mann.
Formed in September 1988 as a high-energy marching show band for Calgary and area Senior High School students, the Calgary Stetson Show Band offers opportunities for personal development, advanced musicianship, performance, and travel. In their distinct black and gold uniforms, the band proudly represents Calgary, Alberta, and Canada with a unique combination of tradition and innovation.
Created in 2020, the Cowtown Collection is Alberta’s newest and only all aged cow theme indoor winds group, dedicated to promoting the marching arts in the Calgary community, they create entertaining and exciting brass theatre productions that push the envelope of what’s possible with a marching band.
The Calgary Stampede Showband was created in 1970 to serve as the musical ambassadors for the Calgary Stampede. The group features over 140 performers between the ages of 16 and 21. Together, they perform year-round and make over 200 appearances annually, including concerts, parades, competitions, special events, and complex marching field shows. They are proud promoters of western heritage and values and are committed to a high level of innovative performance art.
The Band of Outriders is an all age band and energetic 40-piece ensemble comprised of Calgary Stampede Showband alumni and other community musicians from the Calgary area. Known for their high energy, unique style and diverse musical repertoire, their shows are not to be missed.
