There are as many curriculum choices as there are schools of thought. You can have your child lead the charge by educating them in the areas of interest that they show an interest in. If they excel in their interests and want to pursue the topic, the parents expand and increase the knowledge base of that topic or skill. This is called un-schooling. I know several parents that have certified scuba divers, dancers, musicians, and bakers at early ages in their homes.
Of course, all children benefit from standard knowledge base of reading, arithmetic, science, social studies, geography, history, spelling, writing and language (at least the one they speak at home) but your child may love learning other languages also. Multiple languages are easier to learn at an early age. As the child's brain cortex grows so does their ability to learn rapidly. Music, art and language are easily adapted for the young child and they can learn at their own rate as long as they can are interested. I recommend that you search for the basic requirements needed in your state for each grade level and make sure your child is hitting the basics using your preferred curriculum.
