Alaskan Hearth & Home

Alaskan Hearth & Home is a site built especially for families looking to expand their options and take a step towards new horizons. It is written from my perspective as a newly divorced mom who came to Alaska 20 years ago with 4 children, (the 4th would be born in Alaska a few months later), a dog and a dream. No jobs lined up, no housing available, just faith in God to provide the details for our new start in "The Last Frontier".

I hope that I can share and inspire those who feel they are trapped in a life or situation with no way out. So please, as you contemplate making changes in your own life, realize that the only thing special about my story is that I took the first step of my journey in faith and let God do the leading. Now that my 4 children are fully grown; three with families of their own, living the lives God has planned for them, I feel I should share the lessons I've been taught that may benefit other families.
