This assignment was much like a passion project... students were given a choice of doing anything we wanted. The only real requirements were that we had to spend 6 hours doing it, it had to be something related to the class (so something about blended and/or online learning), and we had to create a video at the end demonstrating visually what we did. As I explain a bit in the video, I'm pretty facile with Google Apps for Education, having used it for several years, but there are gaps in my knowledge (such as formatting Google Sheets, apparently) because it's almost all essentially self-taught. I chose, therefore, to follow the training program for Level 1 Google Certification. It played out as I expected, given how my knowledge was acquired. I already knew a lot of it, allowing me to skip over large chunks and just take the test at the end, but I also added several very valuable tools to my repertoire, so in the end it was 6 hours well spent.
