"About Me"
Md. Al-Amin is an emerging researcher with strong academic training and diverse multidisciplinary experience spanning pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical chemistry. I completed my Master of Science in Chemical Materials (Organic Synthesis) at Pusan National University, South Korea, with a GPA of 4.22/4.50, supported by the prestigious BK–Brain Korea Scholarship. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (Honors) from Varendra University, Bangladesh, graduating with of CGPA of 3.92/4.00.
Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong research capabilities and contributed to advanced studies involving compound synthesis, metal complex design, pharmacological screening, plant-based bioactivity, nanotechnology, and molecular biology. I have authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, with publications in Coatings, Applied Sciences, Bioorganic Chemistry, and others. I have also presented my research at international scientific conferences in Korea, Japan, and Bangladesh, and I was honored with the Best Paper and Oral Presenter Award at the KJF International Conference on Organic Materials for Electronics and Photonics 2023.
My technical expertise includes organic synthesis, compound purification, characterization using UV-Vis, IR, NMR, ESR techniques, ELISA, Western blotting, PCR, anti-inflammatory assays, cell culture, and statistical analysis. I am proficient in research software such as Origin, ChemDraw, Microsoft Office, and reference management tools including Mendeley and EndNote.
In addition to academic research, I have gained significant industry experience. As a Senior Officer in the R&D and Regulatory Affairs Department at Wooshin Labottach Co. Ltd., currently I am working on drug candidate identification, formulation and process development, preclinical documentation, and regulatory submissions for international markets. I also served as a Research Assistant at Kyung Hee University, where I worked on biotechnology and molecular research projects. My previous roles also include Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Pusan National University, and Junior Research Fellow at Varendra University.
Over the years, I have been recognized with multiple academic awards, scholarships, teaching excellence awards, and conference accolades. I am a registered “A” grade pharmacist under the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh and an active member of several scientific and professional organizations. With a strong foundation in both laboratory research and industry experience, I am committed to advancing innovative work in chemical materials, drug development, and biomedical applications. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to multidisciplinary research environments through dedication, scientific rigor, and continuous learning.
