Short Biography
Dr. Alak Roy, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology in 2008, M.Tech in Information Technology from Tezpur University in 2010, awarded PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Tezpur University in 2019. Qualified UGC-NET and GATE in 2007. Presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Tripura University, India from May, 2012. Served as Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering at National Institute of Technology Agartala from October, 2010 to April, 2012. 12 years of teaching and research experience in Wireless Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks, MAC Layer Algorithms, Underwater acoustics and communications, Internet of Things, and Application of Machine Learning in Wireless Networks. Supervised more than 32 master dissertations. Published more than 30 papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings and co-authored 1 book on "Applications of Internet of Things", Springer. Organized 2 International Conferences and 15 workshops. Reviewer of more than 10 Journals and 20 conferences. Professional Member of IEEE, ACM, IAENG, IAASSE.
