This research aims to identify suitable elements of new media based on the expression of ideas in the production of digital collaborative artworks and to interpret the resulting works. The study employs an Art-Based Research approach for data collection and adopts the Exquisite Corpse method as the foundation for producing collaborative works in a digital environment. Communication serves as an essential aspect of human life; however, it can be disrupted by mental disturbances or differences in understanding, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly altered communication patterns. The findings suggest that digital collaboration can yield a unified artwork, derived from the combination of participants’ ideas, centred on a given theme. Additionally, digital communication through social media facilitated the sharing and gathering of ideas. Overall, this research demonstrates that digital collaboration can create diverse visual effects that reflect the context and dynamics of contemporary art.
