As a creator, the artist continually seeks closeness to nature, using it as a primary source of reference through activities such as exploration and hill climbing. ‘The Great Landscape’ is an installation artwork that takes the mountain as its central subject. Observations from these explorations focus on the forms and textural impressions found on the mountain’s surface. Through contemplation and reflection, the artist produced a series of ten objects known as ‘memory boxes’—a visual repository of memories translated into three-dimensional form.
‘The Great Landscape’ is a personal interpretation by the artist, derived from observations of the surrounding landscape and expressed through installation art. The memory boxes act as a visual record of the artist’s journey, shared with the audience. Arranged in a linear sequence, the repetition of the box forms creates a rhythmic visual flow. Each piece varies in height, enhancing diversity and balance within the composition. The use of mixed materials in the creation of these three-dimensional works aims to produce distinct impacts and enrich the artwork’s aesthetic experience.
