The Arts Integrated Teaching Community (AITC) is designed to support any BiH teachers interested in deepening their practice through arts integration. We have two opportunities for teachers to be involved:
The Workshop Series is open to all teachers of all experience, subjects, and grade levels.
The Meet Ups are designed for BiH educators who have attended a session of the Applied Drama Institute with us before.
Take a look at our line up of events and click the button to register. After completing the registration form we will send you a confirmation email with the zoom link and details about the session within 48 hours. Please remember all events are listed in Bosnian CET time zones on our website. If you are joining from somewhere else in the world, please do translate the time to your location!
We want to make sure you can access each of our sessions so let us know on the registration form if there are any accommodations we can plan for to help (for example: translation or a break out room hosted in your home language). We will do our best to ensure these sessions are accessible for everyone.
The Workshop series is led by U.S. arts integration experts who work in universities and professional arts organizations. Attendees should expect an interactive experience. Be prepared to share ideas, try out strategies, and reflect on your teaching in small and large groups over zoom. You can choose how much you participate and in what way.
The Meet Ups are hosted by drama-based pedagogy expert, Katie Dawson and will provide many opportunities to connect with other BiH educators, share ideas, and reflect on your practice. Expect to learn new strategies and also dive deeply into how and why these strategies work. The meet ups are designed to build community and capacity for educators experienced in DBP.
There is a vibrant community of arts integration/DBP enthusiasts in BiH! You can connect with them on Viber and Facebook.
